University of Houston: Transportation Information
Commuter Club
The Commuter Club is a program designed to reduce peak hour commuter trips to the campus. Reducing the number of commuter trips to campus is one piece of the solution to the parking problem on campus. Additionally, the Commuter Club contributes to the green initiatives on campus by helping to reduce emissions by reducing the number of vehicles traveling to and from campus.
Alternative transportation options:

Eligibility
UH Vanpools
Vanpools are groups of seven to fifteen people who ride to and from work each day in a passenger van. Vanpools generally cost about the same each month as you would pay for gasoline, but save the wear and tear on your personal vehicle, allow you to enjoy the benefits of HOV lanes, and are eligible for reserved parking spaces. Depending on the vanpool, you can ride on a full-time or part-time basis. Registered vanpools are eligible for reserved parking.
Contact Parking and Transportation Services for more information about setting-up or locating a vanpool.
Current UH Vanpools
Parking and Transportation Services is currently working with METRO to develop new van pool opportunities. If you are interested in creating a vanpool in your area please email [email protected]. Include your name, contact information, area in which you live, and the number of people in your group
