Project description:
Our project assessed the advantages of development of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a preferred transportation fuel, by evaluating its applicability as a function of the 4 E’s of Sustainability: Energy, Environment, Economy, and Equity. We embarked on a course of action that would build infrastructure and increase the scale of CNG fuel utilization starting with our recommendations (see “Our Plan”) for University of Houston’s development of a CNG –based transportation plan in partnership with a public transportation provider, like Houston Metro. Our plan further extends this infrastructure development across Texas by encouraging other public universities to form similar strategies, building a network of publicly available CNG fuel.
